Elevate the Income of Farmers

Currently, farmers in Bangladesh earn an average of 100 USD per month. (University graduates can earn approx. 200 USD salary per month). Our goal is to increase the earnings of farmers up to 300 – 400 USD per month and enable them achieve a better life.

By keeping 200 ducks, with a daily egg production percentage of 70%, at a market price of 8 Tk. / Egg (4 Tk. net profit per egg), potential annual earnings could be as follows (*1 year = 300 days)

(50070%) x 300 x 4 = 420,000 Tk.

Furthermore, the meat of the ducks can be sold, at a market price of 200 Tk. / kg., leading to an average earning of about 600 Tk. Per duck (approx. 3 kg) and 300 Tk. per duck in net profit. In one year (300 days) potential earnings can be as follows:

500 ducks x 3kg x 200 = 300,000 Tk.

With the above business model, poultry farmers could earn up to 720,000

Tk. per annum.

The necessary investment for setting up and starting operations, in case the farmer already owns the necessary land (approx. 300 m2), is calculated at 185,000 Tk. (500 ducklings) +100,000 Tk. (building and landscaping) =

285,000 Tk.
